Work again

Its Sunday 23.22 as Iam, writing this. Work again Tomorrow. Last week wasa week of training, it now means Iam now grounded in the most basic functions of UPS. This is good as it means that I will now have the opportunity to progress my career with in UPS to any one of the many departments. I think I would like to move into the Sales area, hopefully soon. I have the desire to progress my career and would like to earn some money as well, who of us could not do with more.
Here's a question for you have you ever thought what it would be like to win a large amount of money, I have, so mt question to you is...if you won a large sum of money that would enable you to be finaciall secure what woulf you do with it..

Money.. by Tim Young

If I won a large sum of money,
Would it change me.
What kind of person would it make me.
I like to think
I would do good with it
help people
fund things
worthy causes,
Or would i want to keep it
and watch my bank balance grow
my morals decrease
in my growing insular world.

reading

This year so far for me has been a year of reading. I have read 7 books so far. Micheal Crighton is
current favorite, I can't wait to read the new one called NEXT.
dont know what I would do with out being able to read. To be able to read about situations
I could never be in and read about people and  events I could never hope to meet
and experience.
What are you reading, do you have any recommendations for me....

Reading... by Tim Young

On a bus today
I was in another world
a world of intrigue
a world of danger,
But I was immune
from the murderers schemes
I wanted to shout he's behind you.
But people would stare
and not understand.
As each page turns
new thoughts and feelings
hit me in the face.
I'm  awake reading fast
heart racing hoping
all will be well.
Then the bus stops
the book is put away
my heart beas returns to normal
but my thoughts race
in anticipation
or will be...

Finger Prints

Have you ever looked at your finger prints, they are amazing, beautiful and practical, with out them picking things up would be harder and police would have a harder time catching criminals LOL.
But seriously folks.... our finger prints are individual to you, they are part of what makes YOU, unique. There will never be another you.
I hope you appreciate who you are, maybe even love your self!!

Help..by Tim Young

When I need help
you are there
always by my side.
When advice
is what I need
you give it.
So I say thankyou
for being you.
Thankyou for caring for me.
For waiting for me
when I'm walking slowly
for encouraging me
when I'm down
for praising me
when I do someing good.
Thank you
I love you.

future

Future... by tim young

Is there really a future
or is there just
a perpetual now.
May be each day
of the perpetual now
is a choise of direction.
May be thats why
getting out the
right side of the bed
is such a crucial decision.

70

My 70th post is here. only 30 more for my 100th. Not sure what I will do after the 100th. might change things a little
play with the format. my have some picture in. I think I ned to attract more people to view the site.

Poetry by Tim Young

Poetry
Word formed
written ,wrote,spoke
inked or verbal
ideas
thoughts
musing, contemplations,
whats inside for all the world to see.
So much depends on the reader,
the world best poem
read badly
is no longer the worlds best poem.
So read this  again
with care
as best you can
in your most shakespearian voice
as I would like to be
the worlds best poet.

No preamble

No preamble by Tim  Young

Should I just get on with it
no preamble
or should i set the scene
should i jazz it up
or dumb it down
sign post it
or make it criptic
change the font
change the size
its up to me
no one else
the out come is mine.

Pudding by Tim Young

Sitting there
drooling
I'm looking
waiting
spoon at the ready
wait for my first
mouth watering bite
with yes closed
such wonderful sensations
await me.
But First
I have to make it
may be i should
eat the picture
in the magazine
and pretend

Thanks

I just wanted to say thank you to all of you who have posted comments on my blog. Also I would like to say sorry for not posting as often as I would have liked. I have been feeling lazy recently and there has been some good stuff on TV, plus my youngest son has been on the PC playing his war games.... oh well I'll post more as i get the inspiration and the time.

Ashes.. by Tim Young

Five NIL
Five NIL
white wash
hog wash
at least we came second.
Time to create
to make
new ashes
burn the bats
present the remains
and say sorry
to the nation

JAN 2nd

Hello an may I wish you all a happy new year. This is my first post this years and my first in a long time. Its good to be back. So what can I say, well a lot has happened, Christmas and the new years celebrations have come and gone. We spent the new year with some friend, laughing and playing games. I'm not into parties certainly not those that end in drunkenness, I've seen too much of that in my life and its puts me off drinking to excess, so i can still boast going in to 2007 that i have never been drunk. Sorry if i come across self righteous I do not mean to be.
2006 was good to me I started work at UPS and I hope I can spend may a good year there, I also started my blog, in 2006 i have written well over 70 poems my most productive year by far since I started writing poetry in 1982. Last year I learnt more about God and felt his forgiveness and Love I will be eternally grateful.

Clean Slate by Tim Young

Yesterday my slate was full
Today it is clean
a fresh start.
So what do I write on it today
something new
or something that was there yesterday.
They say history repeats its self
So will my slate
by the end of the day
be any different
to yesterday.
I hope it will be different
fresh
new.
Yes history repeats its self
but how we view it makes the changes.
some thing may have happened yesterday
to make me feel down, depressed
the same thing may happen today
but with positive thought
I will learn from it
it will make me stronger
more determined
to change my world.
I should purpose in my heart
to forgive more
be more tolerant.
My slate was clean
not any more
my first scribbling
simply reads
be My self.
